PET-FRIENDLY PATIO POLICY
Our patio is pet-friendly! We’re happy to welcome well-behaved pets, but in order to continue offering this option, we ask that all guests follow the rules below.
These guidelines are in place to protect the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all of our guests. Failure to follow them may result in a pet being asked to leave and could jeopardize our ability to offer a pet-friendly patio in the future.
Prefer to Dine Pet-Free?
No problem! Our patio is large enough to accommodate everyone. The area furthest from the patio exit gate is designated as a PET-FREE zone. If you prefer to dine without pets nearby, please let our staff know and we will be happy to seat you in that area whenever possible.
We ask that all guests respect one another’s choices and allow everyone to enjoy their dining experience comfortably.
Dog-Friendly Patio Guidelines
Our pet-friendly patio operates under the conditions established by the applicable BC health authority and the BC Food Premises Regulation.
- Outdoor patio only: Pets are permitted only in the designated outdoor patio area and may not enter indoor dining, service, food preparation, or food-handling areas.
- Separate access: Pets must enter and exit the patio directly from outside and may not be brought through the restaurant.
- Leashes and control: Dogs must remain securely leashed, or in an appropriate carrier, and under the physical control of their owner at all times.
- Food and dishes: Pets may not be fed from restaurant plates or dishes, eat directly from tables, or use restaurant utensils or reusable dishware. (We have dog water bowls, and are happy to offer your pup treats if that’s ok with you!)
- Cleanliness: Owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up after their pets and ensuring their pets do not create a health, safety, or nuisance concern for other guests. If your dog is prone to inconvenient “accidents,” please do not bring them on our patio.
- Well-behaved pets only: Management reserves the right to ask that any pet displaying disruptive or unsafe behaviour be removed from the patio.
Service Animals
Certified guide and service dogs are permitted in accordance with applicable provincial legislation. Emotional support animals and pets that are not recognized as certified service animals do not have the same access rights to indoor dining areas.
Why These Rules Matter
Under Section 25 of the BC Food Premises Regulation, live animals are generally not permitted on food-premises property unless an applicable exemption has been granted by the regional health authority. Our pet-friendly patio is therefore subject to specific conditions designed to protect public health and food safety.
